My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bernoff inn for three nights as a little valentines get away and I could not be more pleased with how it went! The owner Nick was so sweet and hard working! He set up our rooms so nicely, had breakfast every morning for us with three different specials each day, which were all always amazing, and he made the best chocolate chip cookies at night time. You can really tell how hard Nick and his other employee (who I am not sure what her name was, but she was also very kind) work to make sure you have a great stay. The bed and breakfast is also in an amazing location. We went out to dinner one night at the White Mountain Cider co which I HIGHLY recommend. Overall both my boyfriend and I plan on coming back during our next snowboard trip and staying at the bernoff Inn. Thank you Nick!!

Do not go! The accommodations are awful. Only 2 people are working there. The owner (Nick) and one person to clean. There is no way two people can properly clean, cook food and run a bar in a 12 bedroom bed and breakfast. Lightbulbs …

CANCEL NOW! DO NOT GO ! This innis run by the most unprofessional person I have ever know. Our group rented 4 rooms out of the 12. When we arrived we went into the lobby which was very dark. The proprietor was doing construction on …

My husband and me just stayed for a 3 day winter weekend, in room 2 (Feb 2024). It was very nice with an antique, Victorian feel (like the whole Inn, which I love!) The room had a large jacuzzzi, and the bed was comfy. There are a couple common areas downstairs, one with a gas fireplace, and a few areas upstairs as well, where you can hang out. A full yummy breakfast, cooked by the owner Nick, was included. He also made some great banana bread, some delicious cookies in the evening, and the best hot cocoa we have ever had! Nick was busy, but also very friendly and fun! He made an outdoor fire, on a night when it wasn't too windy, and provided smores. And last, apparently this bed and breakfast, built in the late 1700s, has some ghostly history, which is interesting. Nothing too scary though! I would recommend this inn to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing, old fashioned time! Thanks Nick!

Booked NYE wknd. Arrived and was informed our room flooded day before and bathroom would be out of service and it was either he call us yesterday and tell us the bad news or we are just with have us use the bathroom in the hallway. I said I wish he had given us the option before we drove 3 hours to get here and the owners response was "fine, I'll book you at Quality Inn. My friends were staying there as well and my friend said, would you at least discount the room, and he said with attitude "of course I will", but never said what the discount would be. We spend one night and it was not pleasant going down the hall in the middle of the night. We are older and that trips happens more than once a night. Because of not having a bathroom and the owner treated us so poorly throughout the evening, we decided not to stay another night and drove back 3 hours. We were there less than 24 hours. The owner never discounted our room and we have emailed him 3 times. He has not responded. Also, on top of the bathroom being boarded up, the rug was still damp and our socks were getting wet. The balcony was loaded with crap and the bathroom in the hallway had no towels to dry your hands. We were not the only unhappy people there. This owner keeps getting away with just embarrassingly bad behavior. His behavior mimics a small overtired child. It's pretty shocking to see and deal with. If you have any suggestions on how we should handle this further, let me know. He needs to be held accountable.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! Nick, the owner, works so hard and it shows! The rooms are gorgeous, and the common areas are homey and welcoming. Nick kept all of his promises— he had a fire lit outside, smores supplies ready for guests, 24/7 coffee, tea and hot chocolate, great breakfast, and an all around welcoming atmosphere! We will definitely be back 😊

Even though Nick works hard with very little help, I feel he has totally overextended himself in running this inn. We stayed in the Villages of Conway room. We arrived at 3:45pm which, according to our reservation confirmation, was within the appropriate times (3-11pm) to check in. When we got to the door and found that it was locked and the lights off, I saw a note that said check in time strictly starts at 4pm. It should then be changed on the confirmation that guests receive. Luckily Nick was just arriving when my husband called. Our room wasn’t ready until 4:30. The ear plugs by the side of the bed should have been a clue as to how noisy this room is. It faces Rt. 302. Need I say anymore? The walls are very thin. We could hear our neighbors as they arrived back from a night out. Luckily, they quickly settled in. The bed was very worn and sunken. According to the amenities for this room, there were supposed to be bathrobes - there were none, 2 TVs – there was only 1 (who needs 2 anyway), garden views – maybe out the side window (of course no mention of the Rt. 302 view), bottled water (none was provided), DVD player (M.I.A.), and the linen was certainly not luxury. Regarding the breakfast, my broccoli and cheese omelet was not cooked in the middle. Nick defended it as water from the broccoli. As a past breakfast waitress, I will tell you it was raw egg I saw! Nick did offer to cook it again but at that point I just wanted to leave. Just like the first day we arrived, Nick seemed very stressed out and over extended. I didn’t want to add to it. We suspected that he was cooking AND serving the breakfasts to the guests. This was confirmed when my husband came down to look for Nick to get some fresh towels. He found Nick cooking in the kitchen along with a pile of dirty dishes that looked like they were left over from the previous night’s dinner!! We really could not get out of there fast enough. Wait! We still had to shower. The shower that I was looking forward to had very little pressure (not good for someone who has very long thick hair) and just would not get hot even though the water to the hot tub and sink was hot (probably just a mixing valve problem). We both ended up taking a morning hot tub instead! That was the best feature of the room. Maybe Nick should turn the big old place into a spa if he could ever hire enough help. It is a beautiful old house in need of lots of repairs. We hope Nick can somehow work his way through the mess he got himself into.

I stayed here in 2020 and loved it. The inn keeper’s well-mannered dog roamed the inn and that gave it a really homey feeling for me. The breakfast was phenomenal as was the hospitality and service. Booked again for 2023 and sad to see no doggos roaming the property this time. This Inn has an authentic, historic New England feel which is exactly what I was looking for. The rooms are beautiful. I only deducted stars because my confirmation email said check in would begin at 3pm. We arrived at 3:30 to find the lobby completely dark with on one around. The sign on the door said check in begins at 4. We drove down the street to get some food before coming back to check in. When we arrived the lobby was warmly lit and inviting. I rang the bell to check in and was greeted promptly. It’s a beautiful property.
